Special CommunitiesThe Department supports a range of special communities including special needs students and gifted & talented youth.
Adult Basic EducationAdult Basic Education provides instruction and services for under-educated and limited English proficient adults. Family Literacy enables people of all ages to improve their learning skills. The GED Office serves the needs of the adult population in need of a high school credential.
Alternative Learning OptionsThere are a number of alternative learning options to provide students with the opportunity to receive an education most suitable to their needs and goals, including: Alternative Education, Career/Vocation Technical Education, Charter Schools, GED programs, Educational Collaboratives, private SPED placement, and school choice.
Students & FamiliesA wealth of support services enhance and expand the academic environment. Family and community involvement, health programs, scholarships, and tutoring can aid and empower students in and out of the classroom.
