Number of Proposals Received: 162
Number of Proposals Recommended: 68
Number of Proposals Not Recommended: 94
Result of Funding: This grant will support 63 public school districts, non-public schools, and community-based organizations along with their partners as they implement activities to improve the quality of after-school and out-of-school time programs during the school year and summer months for students in kindergarten through grade 12. Enhancements will be made in the following areas: comprehensive and balanced academic and non-academic programming; serving special populations (particularly, serving students with Individualized Education Programs and English language learners in inclusive settings); partnerships; family involvement; and highly qualified staff. These grants will benefit approximately 11,300 students across the Commonwealth. Grant awards range from $5,026 to $22,450.

An additional 5 entities (listed in italics below) will each use $10,000 to provide regional and statewide opportunities for networking, training, and technical assistance (T/TA) for nearly 1,000 after-school and out-of-school time educators to support quality enhancements in programs.
