The monthly mailing for July is now posted. Please review the information and share with your staff.

  • Funding Opportunity
    The priority for this funding is Projects that propose innovative strategies to benefit working adults and displaced workers pursuing degrees in community college. Projects may include activities that improve: Academic remediation, Tutoring, Academic and personal counseling, Registration processes, Students' course selection and scheduling, Instructional delivery, Student support services related to childcare, transportation, or educational costs, such as textbooks, and Career counseling. Applicants should focus on meeting the unique needs of community college students and adult learners and preparing them for high growth occupations and to meet employer needs.

    The deadline for application submissions is August 4, 2009. The project period is up to 36 months.

    Eligible applicants include: Institutes of Higher Ed (IHEs), other public and private nonprofit institutions and agencies, and combinations of these institutions and agencies.

  • ABE Annual 2-Day Directors Meeting - Reminder:
    Wednesday, September 23rd and Thursday, September 24th, 2009 being held at the Sea Crest Resort and Conference Center in North Falmouth. Room rates are $95.00 plus tax per single/double occupancy. To make reservations, please call 1.800.225.3110 and refer to the ESE/DOE Directors' Meeting. Workshop descriptions and registration information will be sent shortly.
