SMARTT Update, November 2008

  1. Additional Changes and Updates for FY09
    • New roles have been added to the Project Roles screen and the old roles have been removed. The project roles screen only shows the following roles now. Please update this information in the project section:

      MAPT Test Administrators
      TABE Test Administrators
      REEP Test Administrators
      BEST PLUS Test Administrators

    • The official address for SMARTT after the server upgrades on November 5th is http://smartt.doemass.org. This is the address that everyone should use. There are links to Cognos, Request Access, ABE Directory, and OWL on the logon page. You should contact the SABES regional tech coordinators if you have any problems accessing SMARTT or Cognos. Hopefully everyone has noticed that SMARTT and Cognos are now faster!

  2. GED Data Matching - Matches Completed on 9/30/2008 and 10/30/2008

The latest GED data match information with Oklahoma Scoring Service is listed below:

    Completed on 9/30/2008
    • Seventy Eight (78) records were matched for students who attended classes in FY08.Sixty seven (67) students set the goal which is eighty six percent (86%). Eleven (11) students or 14% did not set the goal and will not be included in the Federal Report.

    Completed on 10/30/2008
    • The last GED data match with Oklahoma Scoring Service was completed on 10/30/2008. Forty Nine (49) records were matched for students who attended classes in FY08.Forty One (41) students set the goal which is eighty four percent (84%).Eight(8) students or 16% did not set the goal and will not be included in the Federal Report.

    • Remember that we cannot include in the Federal Report the achievement of any goal, if that goal was not set. It is important to meet with students on a regular basis to make sure goals are set, new goals are identified, and the dates set are entered into the system

  3. Cognos Reports The cubes and Adhoc reports are updated to reflect FY09 data. The FY09 federal reports as well as the Performance Standards reports will be available January 1st so programs can review the data throughout the year.

  4. SMARTT Training Schedule
The updated training schedule is now posted.
    • SMARTT Updates focusing on "Reviewing Mid-Year Data" are being held in each region in December and January. Intermediate Cognos trainings are also being held in each region in December and January. Check the SABES calendar for dates and times. To register for these and other trainings, please go to http:\\www.calendar.sabes.org and click on your region; or, you may contact your regional office directly.
