This memorandum clarifies that the state-funded Academic Support and College Transition Services programs (Fund Codes 598 and 593) are allowed to serve the following students during fiscal year (FY) 2006 school year and summer programs.

Students may be served from the classes of 2003-2007 who have either completed grade 12 or are enrolled in a public school or approved private special education school/collaborative, and who need MCAS support services in order to pass the ELA and/or math MCAS tests required to earn their competency determination, including students who have not yet taken the 10th grade MCAS tests or retests (e.g., because they recently moved to this state from another country).
