The Life Management Advisory Council
This council advises the Commissioner and the Board of Education on matters pertinent to Life Management Skills and Family and Consumer Sciences Education in the Commonwealth. With public and professional input, the Council:
- assesses statewide trends and needs
- seeks public and professional input
- analyzes information regarding Life Management Skills and Family and Consumer Sciences Education
- advises and makes recommendations regarding legislation, regulations and program guidelines
- provides other programmatic recommendations, as it deems necessary, to fulfill the goals established by the Board of Education.
Council members represent an array of professional competencies, areas of expertise and experience.
FY2007 Council Statement
The Life Management Advisory Council will continue its efforts to develop responsible individuals who are independent learners and productive members of society, who can function alone, within a family, and as contributing members of the community.
