Final FY07 Charter School Tuition and Reimbursements
During the 2006 - 2007 school year Massachusetts' 51 Commonwealth charter schools served a total of 21,243 pupils. Below you will find several links to final FY07 charter school tuition and reimbursement data. These amounts will be used by the Department of Revenue for the purpose of certifying the June 29, 2007 local aid distribution.
The data provided below reflect final full-time equivalent enrollment across the entire school year as reported by each charter school this spring.
FY07 Charter Tuition and Reimbursement This page details each district's full-time equivalent pupils at all charter schools (Column 1); the amount of local, transportation and facilities tuition being assessed (Column 6); the amount of direct state subsidy for pupils who were in private or home-schooled settings in FY06 (Column 7); the amount the Commonwealth is reimbursing each district for increase in charter tuition (Column 14); and the amount the Commonwealth is reimbursing each district for facilities tuition (Column 18).
FY07 Charter Pupils and Tuition This page details the number of pupils at each charter school and the total dollars to be paid. It was necessary for the Department to cap the enrollment at three charter schools in accordance with the charter school statute.
On February 22, 2007 Governor Patrick approved Chapter 16 of the Acts of 2007. Section 13 of this law stipulates that any excess funds from the fiscal year 2007 charter school reimbursement appropriation be used to insure that no charter school receives less funding in FY07 than it would have received under the old foundation rate formula. This summary contains the tuition calculations with each rate formula and the hold harmless funding each charter school will receive.

FY07 Charter School Tuition Rate Summary A listing of the three rate components paid at each charter school for each sending school district. Using the MS Excel filter function the user may look at a subset of rates by charter school, by sending district, or even by rate amount.
FY07 Charter School Pupil Rosters. Pupil rosters for each sending district and charter school, providing the underlying detail of the tuition assessments, will be available by June 22, 2007. School districts and charter schools may access and download their spreadsheet from the Charter School Claim Form drop box accessed via the DOE's secure web portal at gateway.edu.state.ma.us.
