Supplemental FY13 Charter Reimbursement
On July 11 Governor Patrick signed a supplemental FY13 state budget which included $8 million to close the gap in charter reimbursements to cities, towns and regional school districts.
In the June 30th local aid distribution, the charter reimbursement was based upon a pro-ration percentage of 80 percent. The supplemental budget raises the pro-ration to 96 percent of full funding.
The payments will be made by the state treasurer during August, and should be treated as FY13 revenue.
