Nutrition Education and Training
The John C. Stalker Institute is funded by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. The Stalker Institute is a collaborative effort between the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, Nutrition Programs and Services, and Framingham State College to provide educational opportunities for school and other child nutrition professionals.
These professional development opportunities available through the John C. Stalker Institute address the various aspects of administering Child Nutrition Programs and addressing nutrition, nutrition education and related health education issues. Program fees are kept reasonable through support from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Nutrition Programs and Services Professional Development & Training funds, US Department of Agriculture Team Nutrition Program and Framingham State College. Participants in the courses that are directly working on Child Nutrition Programs may, as funds are available, utilize school lunch revolving account funds to pay for the fees.
