Health Hints

The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and Massachusetts Department of Public Health welcome you to our Health Hints database. Health Hints are a collection of short grade-appropriate messages on different health topics from asthma to violence prevention. Many of the Health Hints also provide suggestions for extending the message into the classroom and the home. These messages and/or activities can be used to support a school's overall health environment and reinforce the comprehensive health education being taught to students. School personnel can select any of the hints to feature in school newsletters, menus, web pages and other communications used throughout the school and/or community. We also encourage you to submit your "Health Hint for the Day!"
