Fiscal Year 2008 Connecting Activities Reporting Requirements
Connecting Activities Quarterly Reports should include:
The Narrative (not more than ten pages) to address:
Work-based learning experiences not accounted for in the Student/Employer Work and Learning Performance Report (WBL Levels A, B, C) i.e., job shadows, field trips, rotations, worksite supervisor trainings, teacher externships, etc.
A description of how your Connecting Activities and school-to-career professional development plans have been integrated and support each other.
A Connecting Activities anecdotal "highlight" for the quarter.
Challenges you have overcome and challenges you continue to face this quarter.
The Student/Employer Work and Learning Performance Report generated through the STC Database.
The Fiscal Reporting Form
Annual Reporting on the Attainment of a Competency Determination:
In FY '06, a new report was added to the Reports Menu in the STC database called Connecting Activities Participants by MCAS Level 1 and Attainment of CD. This report selects students who scored in MCAS Level 1 (Warning/Failing) and provides a count of how many of those students have retest information in the database, and, if so, how many have subsequently attained a Competency Determination (CD).
In FY '08, regions will be required to provide this report at the end of the fiscal year, due July 15, 2008, with the fourth quarter/final report. During FY '08, please collect information on MCAS retests for students who scored in MCAS Level 1 (Warning/Failing) and enter this information into the database on the Placement Form in the MCAS scores worksheet at the bottom of the screen. This can be accomplished by entering:
- Subsequent scores
- OR subsequent performance level if scores aren't readily available
- OR - if the student graduates with a competency determination - you can simply enter that they passed the MCAS.
*For legislative purposes, the grant period for this cycle of Connecting Activities funds is July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008. Numbers will be calculated numbers based on all work-based learning outcomes during this period.
