Adult and Community Learning Services (ACLS)

Schools to Remain Closed Through End of School Year

April 22, 2020

Dear Program Director and other Education Leaders.

Following the Governor's orders issued on April 21, 2020 Download Word Document, all adult education programs, including post-secondary and workforce training programs, whether conducted in public school buildings, institutions of higher education, or community-based organizations, will not resume in-person instruction through June 29, 2020. We encourage programs to continue to provide their adult students with remote learning opportunities and supportive service referrals during this difficult time.

ACLS will continue to provide guidance and technical assistance to programs to assist them in meeting the needs of students and staff as we continue to navigate the impact of COVID-19.

In light of this new information, I have extended the State as Partner Special Event, where I will take questions from the field.
