Alliance for Excellent Education is a national policy and advocacy organization that works to make every child a high school graduate - to prepare them for college, work, and to be contributing members of society. The Alliance works to encourage the development and implementation of federal and national policies that support effective high school reform and increased student achievement and attainment.
The America's Promise Alliance is the nation's largest multi-sector collaborative dedicated to the well-being of children and youth. Alliance partners are corporations, nonprofit service organizations, foundations, policymakers, advocacy organizations, and faith groups that work collaboratively to ensure that America's young people receive the Five Promises (caring adults, safe places, a healthy start, an effective education and opportunities to help others) - at home, in school and out in the community.
The Commonwealth Corporation is comprised of educators, facilitators, researchers, youth development experts, career counselors, and industry specialists who work with community partners to run a number of youth programs throughout Massachusetts. The goal of these programs is to enable young people to make successful transitions to adulthood with particular interest in those youth who are at risk of not completing high school, entering post-secondary education or training, or acquiring the skills necessary for success in the demanding, high-skills economy of the twenty-first century.

Jobs for the Future (JFF) operates through partnerships with states and communities, national and local foundations, and other organizations. JFF accelerates opportunities for people to advance in education and careers through: research, policy development, on the ground projects, and advocacy.
National Dropout Prevention Center is a well-established national clearinghouse for sharing solutions for student success through active research project, publications, and a variety of professional development opportunities. The National Dropout Prevention Center identified 15 effective strategies for dropout prevention, which is described on their website.
National Dropout Prevention Center for Students with Disabilities (NDPC-SD) was established in 2004 by the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) to assist in building states' capacity to increase school completion rates for students with disabilities through knowledge synthesis, technical assistance, and dissemination of interventions and practices that work.
The National High School Center serves as the central source of information and expertise on high school improvement for the Regional Comprehensive Centers (RCCs), a national network of Content and Regional Comprehensive Centers funded by the U.S. Department of Education to help build the capacity of states across the nation to effectively implement the provisions and goals of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (NCLB).
The National Youth Employment Coalition offers a range of projects, programs, and activities that seek to help youth become productive citizens. NYEC sets and promotes quality standards; tracks, crafts and influences policy; provides and supports professional development; and builds the capacity of organizations and programs.
The What Works Clearinghouse offers a range of publications that evaluate school and community-based dropout prevention interventions and instructional strategies for middle and/or high schools. Reviewed interventions and strategies are designed to help students stay in school and/or complete school and may include services and activities that mitigate factors impeding progress in school.
