Educator Evaluation

Model Survey Revisions - February 2016

In 2014, ESE released model student and staff feedback surveys to support teachers and administrators to collect informative and actionable feedback to improve practice. More than 2,200 Massachusetts students, parents, teachers, and school and district administrators participated in the model survey development process. During the 2014-15 school year, educators across the Commonwealth implemented the model surveys and shared feedback data with ESE. In total, these data represented over 10,000 students and 1,500 staff. ESE used these data, as well as consultation with members of the Teacher and Principal Advisory Cabinets to inform revisions to the model surveys. These revisions are detailed below.
