Getting Started Workshops: February-March 2013
In February and March of 2013, ESE conducted six Getting Started Workshops on the new educator evaluation framework for non-Race to the Top districts throughout the Commonwealth. The presentation addresses the following topics related to implementing the new educator evaluation framework: the Evaluation Framework, the 5-Step Cycle of Evaluation, Collective Bargaining and ESE Reporting Requirements, District-Determined Measures, Using Student & Staff Feedback in Educator Evaluations, Strategic Communications, and ESE Training Resources and Supports.

ESE Model System: S.M.A.R.T. Goals Workshops February-March 2012
The PowerPoint presentation used during the February through March regional workshops co-hosted by the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents (MASS) is available with speaker notes and accompanying handouts for districts to use as a tool. The workshops convened Race to the Top school district teams of Superintendents, district leaders and principals to prepare them to develop S.M.A.R.T. goals for their Educator Evaluation Plans. The final PowerPoint presentation is a product of the valuable feedback received at each workshop and includes some revised content.
