Evidence of Effectiveness

Instructional objective: At the conclusion of this unit the students will demonstrate an understanding of the components of the research process and will be able to write for various audiences.

Evaluation: Students were evaluated at each step of the process based on their finished products. Each student was required to submit an Inspiration web, an outline, note cards, notes in Inspiration, rough and final drafts of their reports, a PowerPoint slide show, and a Publisher brochure. In addition, students presented their PowerPoint slide shows to the class.

Student improvement: The use of Inspiration 7.5 and Write:OutLoud enabled the students to produce papers that were better organized and edited in their rough and final forms.
