English as a Second Language (ESL) Professional Development

English as a Second Language (ESL) is a required component of the sheltered English immersion model. In Summer 2006 the Department is implementing the MELT Initiative (Massachusetts English Language Teacher Initiative), in cooperation with Boston Public Schools and Worcester Public Schools.
