Office of Elementary School Services

The Office of Elementary School Services works to develop and support inclusive, high-quality programs for students and their families during the elementary school years. In collaboration with other groups, agencies and organizations, the Office's goal is to support the achievement and development of children.

The Office of Elementary School Services provides support through grants programs, technical assistance, professional development, evaluation, and policies to promote:

• Standards-based curriculum and authentic assessment that are integrated and aligned;
• Professional development;
• Transitions of children into kindergarten and into post elementary grades;
• The active involvement of families in their children's education; and
• Full-day kindergarten, after-school and out-of-school time, and early childhood and elementary special education services.
