Important Notice: Obtaining Your GED® Verification & Official GED® Score Reports/Trancripts
Please note in Massachusetts GED® Score Reports/Trancripts do not indicate awarding or receiving a Massachusetts GED® credential, only that the five tests were taken and passed. To verify that you have received your Massachusetts GED, you must do one of the following procedures:
The Simple Verification: A quick method for an employer, training programs or school to get a "faxed" determination that you have received a GED;
and/or
The Letter of Certification: A formal document for verification of your GED® status if you no longer have your actual GED® credential. Needed for college admissions and financial aid.
If you are still interested in receiving the official score report/transcript of your scores, please contact the test center where you tested directly (List of GED® Test Centers). A maximum fee of $7.50 may be charged by the test center for the official score report/transcript.
If you tested with the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, please request your score report/transcript in writing including name, date of birth, social security number and approximate date tested and enclose a money order for $7.50 made payable to the "Commonwealth of Massachusetts".
