||The purpose of this non-competitive grant program is to fund specific strategic initiatives that will improve the state's lowest achieving schools and districts, and support their continuous cycle of improvement.
This grant program is aligned with the state's overarching goal:
Eligible schools and districts will be able to apply throughout the year as needs emerge and funds become available. Applications are only accepted from schools and districts that have demonstrated financial need through multiple criteria determined by the Department, including ongoing communication and interaction with the Department relative to school and district accountability status and ongoing data analysis.

The grant is available to fund activities relative to continuation of the parent engagement program and a supplemental science program in Randolph Public Schools.
|Priorities:||This grant is available only to schools and districts that have been identified under the state's legislative mandate pursuant to section 2 of chapter 182 of the acts of 2008, under line item 7061-9408.|

The Department will list on this grant posting, on a rolling basis, schools and/or districts and their designated grant allocations. Grants will only be approved after programmatic and budgetary reviews by Department staff as noted above and upon request of review by the Office of the Governor.
Randolph Public Schools - Fund Code 220-R for $300,000 from State Targeted Assistance funds - $250,000 for Continuation of a Parent Engagement Program and $50,000 for a Supplemental Science Program.

||Fund use must be consistent with the priorities described above and requirements associated with the following funding sources:
State Targeted Assistance Funds may be used to support priority strategic professional development and assistance initiatives designed to raise performance in eligible districts and any of their schools. State Targeted Assistance funds may be used through June 30, 2017.
All expenditures will be closely reviewed as they relate to the priorities of this grant opportunity.
Funds may not be used to provide refreshments.
