Purpose: The State System of Support at the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education is offering a competitive grant opportunity to FY17 MA Commendation Schools/MA National Blue Ribbon Schools Dissemination grant awardees to expand sharing of their effective practices with other schools and further develop their human and material resources as they partner with other schools to share promising practices. The aim of this grant is to expand the spread of effective practices; foster cross-school, intra-regional professional learning through strategic partnerships; and leverage the successes of these high performing schools to encourage, support, and partner with other schools to improve student outcomes.

Priorities: Partnerships shall be in districts that have been awarded the FY17 MA Commendation Schools/MA National Blue Ribbon Schools Dissemination grant. Eligibility: Eligible districts are current recipients of the FY17 MA Commendation Schools/MA National Blue Ribbon Schools Dissemination Grant (Fund Code 321) posted on November 15, 2016. These districts are:

Funding: Up to $7,006 is currently available through Federal Title I School Improvement funds for this grant program to be distributed equally among awardees. Should additional funds become available, they will be distributed equally to grant awardees.

Fund Use: Fund use must be consistent with the priorities described above and requirements associated with Title I funding and must be consistent with the narrative description of the program objectives in the proposal submitted under the FY17 MA Commendation Schools/MA National Blue Ribbon Schools Dissemination grant.
