Purpose: School Redesign Grants (SRG) funds will support districts implementing turnaround efforts in three of the state's lowest performing schools, beginning in school year 2016-2017.

Result of Funding: Districts will use federal School Redesign Grant funds to support implementation of turnaround plans that have been approved by the Department. These grants provide resources, including financial support for extended learning time and enrichment activities for students, access to partnership organizations that provide targeted interventions for struggling learners and opportunities for focused, robust professional development for educators, that will improve teaching and learning. FY17 grant awards are for the school year from September 1, 2016 through August 31, 2016.
