Earmark Announcement for a Youth Case Worker to Combat Youth Violence in the City of Everett
Fund Code: 220V

Purpose: The purpose of this non-competitive grant program is to fund specific strategic initiatives that will improve the state's lowest achieving schools and districts, and support their continuous cycle of improvement.

This grant program is aligned with the state's overarching goal:
  • To prepare all students for success after high school
The grant is available to fund a youth case worker to combat youth violence in the city of Everett.

Grant applicants must briefly describe the background, plans for fund use, and accountability methods.

Priorities: This grant is available only to schools and districts that have been identified under the state's legislative mandate pursuant to Chapter 47 of the Acts of 2017, line item 7061-9408.

  • Everett Public Schools - Fund Code 220-V for $75,000 from State Targeted Assistance funds for a youth case worker to combat youth violence in the city of Everett.
Funding Type: State - Earmark

Funding: $75,000 is available through State Targeted Assistance funds.

Funding is contingent upon availability. All dollar amounts listed are estimated/approximate and are subject to change. If more funding is to become available it will be distributed under the same guideline as listed in the initial RFP document.

Fund Use: Fund use must be consistent with the priorities described above and requirements associated with the following funding sources:

State Targeted Assistance Funds may be used to support priority strategic professional development and assistance initiatives designed to raise performance in eligible districts and any of their schools. State Targeted Assistance funds may be used through June 30, 2018.

All expenditures will be closely reviewed as they relate to the priorities of this grant opportunity.

Funds may not be used to provide refreshments.

Part II — Required Information: Applicants will use this form to briefly describe how the grant funds will be used, their rationale for using funds this way, and how the applicant will monitor progress and impact of their goals and activities.

Submission Instructions: Submit all required grant materials through EdGrants

In EdGrants, districts are required to create and name the project. Please use the following naming convention for your "Applicant Project Name" in EdGrants:

All required forms should be uploaded / attached in the Attachments List formlet of the Application Submission. This includes a signed / scanned PDF of Part I / Coversheet with Superintendent's signature as well as the Required Program Information. The final budget the applicant is requesting will be entered directly into EdGrants as part of the application submission process.
