Purpose: The purpose of this grant program is to provide funding for Local Education Agencies (LEAs) to implement Turnaround Plans in their lowest performing Level 3 schools.
Eligibility: This competitive grant opportunity is open to selected LEAs on behalf of selected lowest performing (1st through 5th percentile) Level 3 schools. A complete list of eligible schools is located under Additional Information below. Funding is contingent upon Department receipt of federal Title 1 funds.

The Department expects to award funding to districts on behalf of approximately 6 to 10 schools.

Funding Type:Federal CFDA: 84.010

  • Contract buyouts.
