Inclusive Concurrent Enrollment Partnership Programs for Students with Disabilities - Planning Grant

Purpose: the purpose of this state funded competitive grant program is to plan and develop new partnerships between high schools in public school districts and state public institutions of higher education (IHE) to offer inclusive concurrent enrollment opportunities for students with severe disabilities, ages 18-22, as defined in Section 1 of Chapter 71B of the General Law. This grant program must serve students who are considered to have severe disabilities in credit and non-credit courses that include non-disabled students and, in the case of students ages 18 and 19, is limited to students who have been unable to achieve the competency determination necessary for graduation.

Result of Funding: Funds from this grant program will be used to plan and develop an inclusive program on the university campus designed to offer opportunities for students with severe disabilities to participate in credit and non-credit courses that include non-disabled students and to participate in the life of the university. The result of the planning will be improved systems to serve students with severe disabilities and support college and career success.
