Grants and Other Financial Assistance Programs: FY2012

Supplementary FY2012 Title I Summer Support for Designated Level 4 Schools in Lynn, Lawrence, and Springfield Public Schools
Fund Code: 323-S

Purpose: The purpose of this federally funded grant program is to provide summer support to designated Level 4 schools in Lynn, Lawrence, and Springfield Public Schools.
Priorities: Funding will be provided to designated Level 4 schools listed in the funding section below for activities aligned to each school's Turnaround Plan.
Eligibility: Only designated schools in Lynn, Lawrence, and Springfield Public Schools are eligible at this time.
Funding: Funding is available for up to $387,450 and allocated as follows:
LynnWilliam P. Connery School$130,000
LawrenceSouth Lawrence East Middle School$128,725
SpringfieldHigh School of Commerce$128,725
Fund Use: Funds can be used for activities and initiatives at Level 4 schools consistent with agreements made by each school district with Department liaisons from the Office of District and School Turnaround.

  • Part I - General - Program Unit Signature Page - Standard Contract Form and Application for Program Grants; and
  • Part II - Budget Detail Pages, including Form AM1 for future use
Additional Information: Participating districts will be required to work with Department liaisons in crafting and revising pertinent Early Indicators of Change/Benchmarks and Timelines leading up to summer projects.
Submission Instructions: Submit 2 hard copy sets with an original signature of the Superintendent.
