Grants and Other Financial Assistance Programs: FY2013

Supplemental Title I Support for Fall River Kuss and Lord
Fund Code: 322

Purpose: This grant provides supplementary financial assistance to the Fall River Public Schools for the redesign of systems and structures that will support sustained improvement at Matthew J. Kuss and Henry Lord Middle Schools, two Level 4 middle schools in the district. Activities to be funded through the grant are described in the schools' ESE-approved Level 4 Redesign Plans.
Priorities: Grant funds will support activities described in the recipient schools' Level 4 Redesign Plans.
Eligibility: Only Fall River Public Schools is eligible to apply on behalf of the Matthew J. Kuss and Henry Lord Middle Schools.
Funding: Funding is not to exceed $300,000 and shall be allocated as follows:

Matthew J. Kuss School: $150,000
Henry Lord Middle School: $150,000
Fund Use: Fund use must be consistent with the priorities described above and requirements associated with Title I school improvement funds. Funds may be used for approved supplemental uses, including: targeted professional development; programming for students; supplies, materials, and equipment that are linked to key strategies; expanded time for teacher collaboration; or, in cases where a clear rationale and sustainability plan exists, staffing.
