Supplementary Support to Specific Underperforming School Districts: Supporting Summer Work at Targeted Schools to Move Forward a Transformation Agenda
Fund Code: 323F

Purpose: The purpose of this federally-funded grant program is to provide continuing supplementary support to Fall River Public Schools in an effort to ensure that its highest-need schools, that must undergo transformative change, open for School Year 2013-14 with faculty accustomed to their new school cultures, prepared to participate in instructional initiatives deemed necessary to help students make meaningful improvement, and prepared to move the transformation agenda forward.
Priorities: The priority for this grant is to fund efforts, including consultation, training, and facilitation related to preparing faculty members at Henry Lord Middle School to use Guided Discipline and to fund efforts to support leadership team development at Henry Lord through consultancy/coaching/mentoring.
Eligibility: Fall River Public Schools only.
Funding: A one-time amount of $49,000 has been committed to Fall River Public Schools for this initiative.
Fund Use: Funds can be used for activities and initiatives associated with consulting, training, and facilitation associated with Guided Discipline and leadership team development.
