Eligible districts and the amount of funds available follow at the end of this memo. Note that if any district on the list does not apply for the funds, any remaining funds will be distributed evenly among remaining districts on the list. Funds from an approved grant must be used between July 1, 2013 and September 30, 2013, and all funds must be expended prior to September 30, 2013. The necessary Fund Code 184 grant materials are on the Department website. Districts must submit a proposed budget workbook as well as a short narrative describing the intended use of the funds no later than July 12, 2013, via the district's Title III Dropbox in the security portal. Program proposals must follow all Title III requirements and hard copies of these proposals, including the budget workbook (signed by appropriate district staff, such as the superintendent) and program narrative, must be received by Melanie Manares or Beth O'Connell in the Office of English Language Acquisition and Academic Achievement at ESE by 5:00 p.m. on Friday July 12, 2013.
