Grants and Other Financial Assistance Programs: FY2014

Aspiring Teacher Training Cadre for Turnaround Schools: Lawrence and New Bedford Public Schools
Fund Code: 212

Purpose: The purpose of this federally-funded grant program is to continue to support Lawrence and New Bedford Public Schools in ongoing efforts to strengthen thier cadre of aspiring teachers by expanding the Turnaround Teacher program.
Priorities: Bring two cohorts of aspiring teachers for school year 2013-2014 to teach in Level 3 and 4 turnaround schools in Lawrence and New Bedford.
Eligibility: Lawrence and New Bedford Public Schools only.
Funding: Funding for Lawrence is available for up to $215,000.
Funding for New Bedford is available for up to $85,000.
Fund Use: Fund use must be consistent with the priorities described above and expectations outlined in the agreement between the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and Teach for America.

Submission Instructions: Submit 2 hard copy sets, each with an original signature of the Superintendent/Executive Director.
