Massachusetts English Language Learner Teacher Residency Expansion Grant Program: Worcester Public Schools
Fund Code: 212

Purpose: The purpose of this federally-funded grant program is to support Worcester Public Schools in ongoing efforts to strengthen its cadre of English Language Learner (ELL) teachers by expanding the Massachusetts Teacher Residency (MTR) Program in partnership with the Center for Collaborative Education (CCE).
Priorities: Expand the number of candidates eligible to participate in the MTR-ELL Program by supplementing funds available to Worcester Public Schools and CCE.
Eligibility: Only Worcester Public Schools is eligible at this time.
Funding: Funding is available for up to $200,000.
Fund Use: Fund use must be consistent with the priorities described above and expectations outlined in the agreement between the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, Worcester Public Schools, and the Center for Collaborative Education.

Expenditures may include the costs associated with supporting successful candidates at $10,000 per person contingent upon matching support provided by the Worcester Public Schools at the amount determined by the Department.

Submission Instructions: Submit 2 sets, each with an original signature of the Superintendent/Executive Director.
