Educational Proficiency Plans

MCAS/EPP Test Information

In school year 2009-2010, there will be one opportunity for districts to offer students with Educational Proficiency Plans the optional MCAS/EPP Test for mathematics. The one time period will be April 26-May 7, 2010.

There will be no administration of the MCAS/EPP test for English Language Arts (ELA), however, schools and districts will now be able to use the March 2010 ELA MCAS retest as an assessment option for EPP purposes.

During time sensitive periods, MCAS/EPP math test related materials will be posted in each high school's newly created MCAS EPP DropBox, accessible via the Security Portal's DropBox Central. High school principals (or their designee) who need access to this information should get assigned to their school's MCAS EPP DropBox role by their district's Directory Administrator. That DropBox will be used by the Department to post MCAS/EPP math test related documents that for security reasons cannot be posted to this web page. If you have questions on this, contact your Directory Administrator, email achievement@doe.mass.edu, or call 781-338-3010.

Select documents will be posted below and in the MCAS EPP DropBox for the April/May administration starting in mid-March 2010. Forms that will be posted ONLY in the MCAS EPP DropBox include the test forms (available April 23-May 7, 2010) and the scoring related information (available May 10-21, 2010).
