38.08: Regional Buy-In Grants
(1) Any city or town newly admitted to an existing regional school district may be reimbursed for part of the buy-in amount that the city or town is required to pay for admission to the regional school district.
(2) The Board will determine the amount of the grant based on information and documentation concerning the costs of constructing, equipping and financing the building(s) which is the subject of the buy-in, including any additions and renovations to the original building(s), State funding of those costs, student enrollment in the building(s), and the reimbursement percentage applicable to the new member town under M.G.L. c. 70B.
(3) The grant shall be paid in equal annual installments made over the term specified in the agreement between the regional school district's member municipalities, as approved by the Commissioner.
