4.01: Purpose

(1) 603 CMR 4.00 supervises the operation of public vocational technical education programs in the Commonwealth, and governs the operation and approval of secondary and postsecondary vocational technical education programs offered in public school districts. They govern the licensure of vocational technical educators in public school districts.

(2) Purpose. The purpose of 603 CMR 4.00 is to promote, for all vocational technical education programs, the scope and quality necessary to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to compete in a dynamic, global workplace and in postsecondary education including registered apprenticeship programs.
