I am writing to provide you with information regarding the release of 2013 ACCESS for ELLs English proficiency assessment results. Information on the reports you will soon receive, as well as the posting of additional information on the Department's website, is provided below.
Printed Reports for Schools/Districts
ACCESS for ELLs printed reports will be received in schools on or about May 22. Schools will receive the following reports:
- Parent/Guardian Reports
- Teacher Reports and Kindergarten Teacher Reports
- Student Roster Report
- School Frequency Report
Districts will receive:
- District Frequency Report
Posting of ACCESS for ELLs Results
The following data will be posted to the Security Portal:

To assist you in interpreting and using these results, the Department will hold three two-hour webinars on the following dates:
- May 23 at 9:00 a.m.
- May 28 at 1:00 p.m.
- May 29 at 9:00 a.m.
The presentations will cover information on interpreting and using ACCESS for ELLs scores, resources available on the WIDA, MetriTech, and ESE websites, a pending "bridge study" to link 2012 MEPA to 2013 ACCESS for ELLs scores, and outreach materials available for parents.
