This response is a mostly clear, complete, and accurate explanation of how the narrator's attitude toward his father changes from the beginning to the end of the story. It provides a general explanation of how at the beginning of the story, the narrator is annoyed and indifferent toward his father, complains as they ski, and wishes "he were home." When they come to the closed road, he tells his father "they should have left in the morning." By the end of the story, the response explains, the narrator begins to admire his father. He begins to feel better about his father when they discuss the narrator's strengths, and he is amazed by his father's skilled driving.
