The diagrams below show an amoeba and a bacterium.
The amoeba has an irregular shaped membrane with a circular nucleus. The bacterium has an oval shape with small thick hair-like projections surrounding it.  In the center is a twisted string-like shape labeled DNA.
  1. Which of the pictured organisms is a eukaryote? Explain your answer using evidence from the diagrams.
  1. Describe two similarities between the cells of prokaryotes and eukaryotes.
  1. Describe one difference between the cells of prokaryotes and eukaryotes. You may not use the evidence you described in part (a).
