The narrative is developed in a general manner and includes adequate details about cleaning and drawing, overlapping somewhat with the original plot. A few new descriptions are provided, and although the description of "the rumble" of Papi's truck as it "rolled in" is merely adequate, it reveals Lisa's anticipation of the arrival of her parents. Other sensory descriptions are useful in creating a setting: "Then a rainbow formed, and the lake turned blue. The farm was bursting with color." While the narrative relies primarily on events repeated from the passage (e.g., "capture this beautiful moment") and ends rather abruptly, it does tell what happens next in the story and is moderately organized.

A variety of sentence structures reveal consistent control of conventions: "She captured the colors just in time. When the big truck rolled in, the scene vanished. The animals were gone. You couldn't see them in the sky or behind the tractor." The narrative's length and complexity are sufficient to show control of Standard English conventions across a range of mechanical skills.
