Federal Programs

• Title I: Improving the Academic Achievement of the Disadvantaged
  Title I provides supplemental educational opportunities for disadvantaged children who are most at risk of failing to meet the State's challenging content and performance standards.

• Title IIA: Preparing, Training, and Recruiting High Quality Teachers and Principals
  The purpose of this program is to increase student achievement through comprehensive district initiatives that focus on the preparation, training, recruitment, and retention of highly qualified educators.

• Title IID: Enhancing Education Through Technology
  This program is intended to help districts improve student achievement through the use of technology in their schools. It is also designed to assist students to become technologically literate by the end of eighth grade. Lastly, it encourages high quality professional development that uses research-based instructional strategies to integrate technology effectively into the instruction.

• Title III: Language Instruction for Limited English Proficient and Immigrant Students
  This program assists school districts in teaching English to limited English proficient students and in helping these students meet the same challenging state standards required of all students.
