Title II-D: Enhancing Education Through Technology

DescriptionThis federal grant program is intended to help districts improve student achievement through the use of technology in their schools. It is also designed to assist students to become technologically literate by the end of eighth grade. Lastly, it encourages high quality professional development that uses research-based instructional strategies to integrate technology effectively into the instruction.

Guidance on the Enhancing Education Through Technology (Ed Tech) Program "(Mar 11, 2002) This document provides guidance on the purposes and goals of the Ed Tech program, the State and local application processes and an entity's eligibility for a grant award, the uses of Ed Tech funds, other programmatic requirements, and the relationship of various flexibility provisions to the program. The Department will supplement this document with further guidance as additional issues arise during implementation of the program."
