Translations of generic Parent Guardian Report shells and sample parent letters are now available at WIDA: Download Library. Districts may download translations of Parent/Guardian Report "shells" and sample letters to send to parents in the language of the home (where available).
Translations of each student's Parent/Guardian report are also available through an automated online service that allows schools to print each student's actual report (i.e., with actual student results) in the home language of the student. Schools may contact MetriTech, the test contractor, at 800-747-4868 for instructions on how to log in and download individual student reports.
A brief PowerPoint presentation (in English) entitled Understanding the Parent/Guardian Report is available on the ESE website. Districts may wish to present this to parents, using volunteer or other district-based translators.
Information about the ACCESS reports and how each should be interpreted and used is available by reviewing the ACCESS for ELLs Interpretive Guide for Score Reports, available at WIDA website; or by viewing a pre-recorded Massachusetts ACCESS for ELLs Reporting Webinar, posted to the WIDA: Download Library. To log in and view the webinar, you will need a WIDA personal account with your user name and password.
