New resources to assist districts in assessing online course quality

The Office of Digital Learning has posted the following resources for local school districts and other interested parties:
  • An online course rubric to assist in evaluating digital and blended courses used for instruction, credit recovery, or non-credit personal learning
  • Innovations in Education: Connecting Students to Advanced Courses Online, a comprehensive resource from the U.S. Department of Education to assist district and schools decision-makers who are looking for ways to give their students greater access to advanced course work and see online courses as an enticing option
  • A learning management system (LMS) rubric Download PDF Document  Download MS WORD Document for virtual school applicants, school districts and interested parties to identify and evaluate quality indicators for the implementation or selection of an online LMS
  • The Virtual Learning Program Rubric Download PDF Document  Download MS WORD Document, a publication of the Northeast Comprehensive Center (NCC), to assess the quality and rigor of virtual programs
