Workplace Education RFP

Dear Colleagues: ACLS will release a new Workplace Education Request for Proposals in October 2015. Workplace Education addresses the ongoing demand from businesses, union organizations, and employees for on-site contextualized educational services for employees committed to improving their basic education skills. The RFP refers to two discrete phases.

Phase 1 involves four months of planning that must include a Workplace Needs Analysis. Planning grants allow resources for a Workplace Education partnership to establish a foundation for instructional services.
Phase 2 requires the delivery of Workplace Education services consistent with the recommendations of the Phase 1 planning process and an on-site Planning and Evaluation Team to oversee program implementation.

ACLS Guidelines for Effective Workplace Education partnerships

an excellent workplace education resource, Collaborative Needs Assessment: A Handbook for Workplace Development Planners, by Sue Folinsbee and Paul Jurmo. This resource illustrates ways to build consensus, implement a planning process, and analyze the results.
