ABE Model Curriculum Units RFR on COMMBUYS

March 15, 2016

Dear Program Director:

I am pleased to announce the posting of a bid for ABE Model Curriculum Units on COMMBUYS. This capacity building bid is intended to support programs in adapting the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education's Model Curriculum Units (MCUs) for Math for use in the ABE classroom.

By conducting capacity building activities with this one-time funding, Community Adult Learning Centers and Adult Basic Education for Incarcerated Adults Programs will not only become familiar with high quality math curriculum units developed with Race to the Top funding but also create model math curriculum units for use by their own programs and the field. Curriculum units developed through this process may constitute some or all of the instructional units and lessons required under the ACLS Curriculum Policy issued on March 7, 2016.

Interested programs should review the ABE Model Curriculum Units bid.

Entities that wish to apply for the ABE Model Curriculum Units bid must register with COMMBUYS.

Proposals are due by 12:00 PM on March 29, 2016. We look forward to reading your proposals.

Sincerely,

Jolanta Conway
Massachusetts ABE State Director
