Registration Open for 2016-2017 Early Childhood Special Education Networking Meetings

The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (ESE) is hosting a series of Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) networking meetings. The first networking meeting will be held on September 21, 2016 at the Best Western in Marlborough, MA. Registration for each meeting is available. These meetings will provide you with the opportunity to get together with colleagues to discuss leading topics and practices in ECSE. Each networking meeting will begin at 9:00am and conclude at 12:30pm. Registration will begin at 8:30. Topic areas include:
  • Timely Referrals and Services from Early Intervention
  • Preschool Positive Behavioral Supports (PBS) (using the Pyramid Model strategies)
  • The Implementation of New Assessments or Curriculum(a)
  • Strengthening Family/School Partnerships
  • Integrated Early Literacy Initiatives
  • Connections with Programs/Agencies Providing Support to Children and Families
  • Inclusive Practices and the use of Accommodations and Assistive Technology
Any individual working in Pre-K including administrators, teachers, and other professionals are welcome to attend these meetings. Districts may choose to attend one or all of the meetings. However, please note that space is limited at each location.
