Latest Updates from Student Assessment Services

Student Registration for the 2017 High School Science and Technology/Engineering Tests

High schools will be ordering student test materials for the spring Science and Technology/Engineering (STE) test via the Student Registration/Personal Needs Profile (SR/PNP) process in PearsonAccess Next (PAN). The SR/PNP process is similar to that used for the February Biology test administration. This process must be completed in PAN between March 13 and 24, 2017.

All high school principals, including those of schools that have no students participating in the High School STE test administration, must go on line to PAN to confirm the number of students who will be participating. In addition, superintendents must ensure that educational collaboratives and approved private special education schools order materials via the SR/PNP process for their students in out-of-district placements. To assist schools in completing this task, the Department will host a WebEx presentation on March 13 to review the SR/PNP process and answer questions from participants. Registration information will be available soon on the MCAS Training Opportunities page.
