We are pleased to announce the From Plan to Plate webinar series to support districts preparing their USDA Foods Ordering for School Year 2018-2019 (SY 18-19). Districts who intend to utilize their USDA Foods Entitlement through Brown Box, Department of Defense Fresh Produce Program (DoD Fresh) or Processing are strongly encouraged to attend the webinar that meets your menu needs for SY 18-19.

USDA Foods Entitlement, Brown Box and DoD Fresh Produce

  • Topics include: Meeting your menu needs through entitlement planning. Accessing and completing the Brown Box Survey and the new monthly offer sheet features. Changes to the DoD Fresh eligibility, sign up time period, and essential receiving practices.
  • Suggested attendees: Districts who allocate entitlement for Brown Box or DoD Fresh products.
  • Registration

USDA Foods Processing Program SY 2018-2019

  • Topics include: Implementation of Net Off Invoice (NOI) and Fee for Service (FFS) including tips to better coordinate receipt of product and procurement compliance reminders. Resources to assess pricing and nutritionals for approved products. Pass thru value and the district's role in monitoring the full value of USDA Foods entitlement in the approved products received.
  • Suggested attendees: Districts who allocate entitlement for Processing products.
