As required by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (ESE), Office for Food and Nutrition Programs will provide training opportunities specific to the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) for Fiscal Year 2018 (FY18) SFSP sponsoring organizations.

  • SFSP Application Support Meetings: Sponsoring organizations who need support when completing their FY18 SFSP application are strongly encouraged to sign-up for an application support meeting at the Office for Food and Nutrition Programs in Malden, MA. Participants will have an individual appointment time with an ESE consultant in order to receive assistance in completing their application. Please note that individuals who do not register for an appointment may not participate in the event.

  • SFSP New Sponsor Training (in-person): Sponsors that are new to SFSP are required to attend an in-person SFSP training. For returning sponsors who may have new program or management staff, we encourage you to sign up for this in-depth review of the SFSP.

  • SFSP Returning Sponsor Training Webinar: For returning SFSP sponsors, we highly recommend attending a SFSP webinar which will provide an overview of summer programming and include any updated policies from the USDA.

Registration is required for all trainings, including webinars, as space is limited. Unregistered participants will be accommodated based on available space; participation is not guaranteed without confirmation of registration. A "Certificate of Participation" with total training hours documented is available for participants who have confirmed attendance for a completed training.
