Aztec Software Licenses

April 2, 2018 Dear Program Directors and Staff. Recently, ACLS purchased 200 statewide licenses for Aztec Software. The licenses are all concurrent, so the number of students working in Aztec at any time cannot exceed the number of licenses allotted to the program. For example, if Program ABC has 10 concurrent GED licenses, then 10 students can be online with those 10 licenses at one time. Once one-student logs off, another one can log on. The Administrator of each program will have the ability to log someone off in order to get another logged on to the system. We are encouraging all programs with Pre-ASE and ASE level students to make this high quality ABE resource available to students. Aztec will provide online training to all program staff to support them in taking advantage of all the product features (e.g., reports, student programs). It is a system that contains a vast amount of information, and each program will have full access to all administrator manuals, as well as full time customer support staff that can be called to answer any and all questions. Please email Wyvonne Stevens-Carter with the number of Pre-ASE and ASE students you currently serve and the number of licenses you would like to request by April 15, 2018. Licenses will be distributed on a first come first served basis with program size taken into account. Once licenses are assigned to programs, the vendor will contact programs to support utilization. Licenses are good for one year. Below is a brief description of the Aztec software. Aztec is used in ABE programs, community colleges, correctional facilities, and one-stop centers. The Complete Learning Series teaches basic education using work and life examples through the modules in the different series below. Teachers may create customized assignments for individual students or a class. The Administration System helps teachers monitor and evaluate student progress via reports, computer-directed learning, individual education plans, among others. Features include:
  • Diagnostic and prescriptive tools yield an Adaptive Individual Learning Plan™ for each learner
  • Designed to meet the needs of self-paced, independent study, blended learning classrooms, or direct instruction classroom
  • Fully mobile platform
  • Easy to use navigation
  • Numerous ungraded skill checks and drills that reinforce learning
  • Simplified administrative system for ease of reporting
  • Aligned to the College and Career Readiness (CCR) Standards for Adult Education
  • Free cloud-based practice tests to ensure student readiness
Looking forward to hearing from you. Jolanta Conway
