Program Quality Review and Site Visit Protocol — Open Comment Period Survey
May 24, 2018
Dear Adult Education Practitioners,
ACLS has developed a unified and systematic approach to program quality reviews and site visits conducted by program specialists.
An ACLS team (hereinafter The Review Team) has been formed whose charge is to ensure a transparent and uniform approach to program quality reviews and site visits. The Review Team will employ a systematic and coordinated method of gathering data collection to ensure processes are fair and objective.
The Review Team piloted the new Program Quality Review and Site Visit protocol with four Community Adult Learning Centers (CALCS) and one AE Correctional Institution in FY2017. These visits assisted The Review Team to calibrate their approach and their assessments of multiple sources of evidence.
The Program Quality Review and Site Visit Protocol will be finalized based on results and findings from the pilots and feedback from the open comment period and the Directors' Meeting workshop, before its final release in July 2018.
This Program Quality Review and Site Visit Protocol highlights the changes proposed to the program quality review and site visit processes.
ACLS is seeking your feedback on these new processes. Please review the revised Indicators of Program Quality (IPQ) and the Program Quality Review and Site Visit Protocol as together these inform both program quality reviews and site visits.
After reviewing these documents, the survey will likely take approximately 20 minutes to complete.
The survey includes nine questions and is available until Monday, June 25, 2018. You can access the survey, Program Quality Review and Site Visit Protocol and the Indicators of Program Quality.
